Iowa college students are in a somewhat special situation in that they may have a permanent address in one place—maybe even another state—but can be eligible to vote wherever they live for school.
Do I vote at my permanent address or my college address?
As a college student, you have the option of registering to vote in your hometown OR the college town where you live, but not both. You can register in only one location.
Where am I registered to vote at?
Before you vote, you have to be registered to vote. You can do this well in advance or even at the polls, on Election Day. Check to see if you are registered to vote in Iowa here. If you're not and want to be, you can register to vote online here.
I'm still confused or I have a different question.
You can find all the latest voting information at the Iowa Secretary of State's website here. Or contact a county auditor. They can also help you.
