Des Moines, Iowa — The ACLU of Iowa is pleased to announce that it has hired Kristina Libbey as a development associate.

Libbey will be responsible for gift processing, data management, and donor solicitation to ensure that the development department is functioning at its highest capacity.

Originally from northeast Iowa, Libbey graduated from Drake University in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in music and a minor in business. Previously, Libbey worked at Iowa Public Radio and focused on gift entry and donor relations.

“We are fortunate to welcome Kristina to our team and we are confident that our supporters will appreciate her friendly spirit, attention to detail, and shared commitment to our efforts,” said ACLU of Iowa Executive Director Mark Stringer.

Libbey is excited for the opportunity to contribute towards the ACLU’s mission to protect and advance civil rights and civil liberties.

“It feels like each day we are met with new examples of people struggling with societal injustices and I am so inspired by the work the ACLU does in advancing the idea that everyone is treated with dignity and equality,” she said.
