We need to hold our elected officials accountable and ensure they protect the civil rights and liberties of all Iowans. Most importantly, they need to hear from people like you — their constituents. When legislators hear from the people who live in their districts it makes the biggest impact.
We'll call on you at critical moments during the legislative session to contact legislators, reach out to other ACLU members, or show up to the capitol with us.

We need help with everything from clerical assistance and research to helping staff booths at events to writing letters to the editor to doing translations to taking photographs or shooting video.

If you have a skill, we're sure to have a need for it! You don't even need to be in the Des Moines area. We have volunteer work that can be done wherever you are located.
