If you are an Iowa resident who is a new U.S. citizen (meaning you were recently naturalized), you can vote!
You may have heard about a flawed 2024 list the Iowa Secretary of State created that wrongly challenged the voting qualifications of many newly naturalized U.S. citizens. We sued and were able to settle the lawsuit with the state favorably.
That list has been rescinded. Auditors know not to use it, and you should not face trouble at the polls.
You can follow the same procedures to register to vote and vote like all other Iowans.
