Join in the celebration starting in June and lasting through the summer as various Iowa communities host Pride events!

Pride events have already been held in the Quad Cities, Des Moines, Sioux City, and Iowa City. Here are upcoming Pride events: 

June 29-30: Heartland Pride

Check out the Heartland Pride Parade and Festival, which includes Omaha, Council Bluffs, and the surrounding community. Enjoy great food, games, and entertainment. Learn more by visiting Heartland Pride.

July 7: Cedar Rapids Pride Fest

The CRPrideFest will be held at NewBo City Market from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Check the CRPrideFest Facebook page for more updates as the date approaches.

August 18: Mason City Pride

Honor the culture and heritage of the LGBTQ community with Mason City Pride! The family-friendly celebration will include entertainment, food, craft beer, and possibly puppies. Additional details can be found on the Mason City Pride website.

August 24-August 25: Cedar Valley Pridefest

Participate in a two day event promoting acceptance, understanding, and equality. Cedar Valley Pridefest staff will broadcast details on this year's headling acts, sponsors, and venue on the organization's Facebook page on Friday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m.

September 29: Ames Pridefest 2018

Enjoy the second annual Ames Pridefest that encourages the community to come together to support LGBTQIA+ people and families. Last year, the event, which included all-day stage entertainment, drew over 400 attendees and 30 community vendors. Learn more about this year's event at Ames Pride.
Also, watch the OC Pride Facebook page for updates on the city's second annual pride festival, which will be held during the third weekend of October. Last year's historic three-day event featured dancing, live music, a movie screening, and brunch.
