The 16,000 Iowans who are behind bars on any given day in Iowa are highly vulnerable to the rapid spread of COVID-19. They have little opportunity to self-distance, and people are constantly coming and going into facilities. This creates a major public health threat for people who are incarcerated, the thousands of Iowans who work in prisons and jails, and thousands of law enforcement officers.

Act now and reach out to state and local officials and others to urge them to take action to protect those who are incarcerated.
