DUE PROCESS: Amendment
S-3248 to
SF 793 – An amendment that added a provision to the IDOT
omnibus department bill prohibiting the use of red light cameras by the
department or a local municipality. ACLU-IA SUPPORTED the amendment. Passed
Senate, 28-22, April 9. The prohibition language was stripped of the bill in
the House by a voice vote.
